The Transmission Skid Plate will cover and protect the transmission on your Xterra or Frontier.
The skid plate is made of 3/16" thick steel CNC plasma cut and bent to specification to add strength and to reinforce the edges. It does mount solidly to the trucks frame and is designed for easy bolt-up installation with minimal drilling.
The transmission skid plate does not require to drill any holes.
Since this is the biggest skid out of all we decided to attach it to the frame on the middle sides to make it extremely strong, as it should be.
Besides giving you peace of mind, this skid plate will help you get over obstacles by preventing your chassis cross-members from catching on whatever you're driving over.
