2005-2018 Nissan Xterra / Frontier
The engine skid plate will cover and protect your low hanging aluminum front differential and the oil pan on your Xterra or Frontier. By design it will provide easy access to drain your engine oil.
The skid plate is made of 3/16" thick steel CNC plasma cut and bent to specification to add strength and to reinforce the edges. It does mount solidly to the trucks frame and is designed for easy bolt-up installation with minimal drilling.
The engine skid plate requires to drill four 3/8” holes – this is to make it stronger without relying on the weak M8 OEM holes. If you purchased the radiator skid plate – it will share two holes with that one.
Besides giving you peace of mind, this skid plate will help you get over obstacles by preventing your chassis cross-members from catching on whatever you're driving over.
